1. Statement of self evaluation

Due to the limit of time, I preserved most of the game mechanism from the clone. I changed the sprites completely to a panda theme. The green background represents nature and forests. The players become the cute pandas jumping on the growing branches. I added the animation of the pandas colliding and bouncing on the branches. Since it’s a two-player game, I added another verb, jumping. Two players need to compete to take the bamboo so that the panda can save the energy to jump themselves without bouncing on the branches. It adds more competition to the game. The story and the theme behind the mechanism becomes more clear and makes sense. I draw the instruction on the top of the screen so that players will know clearly about the jumping mechanism. The clone version has the problem that the players would rotate weirdly when they hit the edge of the room. I fixed it by getting rid of the rotation when players hit the edge of the room. In the clone version, I accidentally confused the starting position of the two players and forgot to add a random horizontal speed when players respawn. I added all of the missing parts to the elaboration version. I changed the sound effects completely to make them sound more related to the action. 

2. Play instruction

One of the players uses “A” and “D” to control the panda’s horizontal movement, and “W” to perform a jump after eating a bamboo. The other player uses the “left” and “right” key to control the panda’s horizontal movement, and the “up” key to perform a jump after eating the bamboo. Whenever the player falls under the screen, his/her point will be reduced by one. Whenever the player jumps on the other player, his/her point will go up by one.
